MT2000 vhf Radio acting up weird

Post by bayfire300 »

I have an MT2000 vhf that upon powering up it will not rx anything untill I either push the PTT or wait 1 min then if there is now activity it will go into a kind of sleep mode untill I once again hit the ptt button.I tested it w/ a weather frequency and it only rx's when I hit ptt or wait 1 min.weird right?

Any thoughts?

Thank you for reading

Otto,

Check the settings for receiver mute and the setting for battery saver. Also there is a setting like no receive unless you try to transmit on a busy channel, BUSY Lockout.

You can use the Default F9 key to get back to default settings.

Otto,

You could read your radio and let one of us here on the BatBoard read it and see if we can find the culprit.

I would be glad to look at your radio and I can do programming also. Probably way less than the "shop".
