Jedi RSM on a Waris radio
Long story short - work forced me to downgrade from an HT1000 to an HT1250. Because I don't care for any of the speaker mics available for the Waris series, I bought an MC-2133 replacement cable from Pryme, which, in theory, should've allowed me to continue to use my 6191 mic with my new 1250. However, when I tried it with both my issued 1250 & my personal 1550, it just won't go. If I plug it in with the radio on, it keys up automatically, but neither the mic nor the speaker will work. If I plug it in with the radio off, it won't do anything at all. Tested both the mic & the accessory port, and both are OK. Suggestions?

They may have the same plugs but the head or cable is wired differently.

My understanding is that the cable was designed to take that into account, and make the two compatible.FireCpt809 wrote:They may have the same plugs but the head or cable is wired differently.

OK, call the manufacturer and ask them why it's not working then246 wrote:My understanding is that the cable was designed to take that into account, and make the two compatible.FireCpt809 wrote:They may have the same plugs but the head or cable is wired differently.

That cable is for a pryme mic, it is not meant for a motorola mic the pinouts of the rj-45 are probably different.
