I would suggest that you take some time and review the information on the batlabs.com site and also look at the repeater builders site. There is a wealth if information on both sites that should help you in your quest.

If you use some simple common sense, generally a 110 watt mobile will pull between a low of 22 amps and a high of 29 amps. The actual draw will depend on the band the transmitter is on and the company that made it. If you look around enough on the Internet searches, you should be able to find a spec sheet on the radio for the band your wanting to use.

It is a UHF band and a MCS2000 is made by Motorola.
I applied simple common sense when asking,i was asked by a customer why a Spectra 110 watt UHF requires more Amperage then the MCS2000,and my guess was just newer technology.
But thought i would ask on Batlabs.

I have that exact radio in my car & use 25 amp fuses. They don't blow, so it's less than 25 amps. GARY N4KVE
