Waris CPS compatible with Windows 7?

Post by 1585hp »

Has anyone had any success using Waris Pro Series CPS for the CDM mobiles and HT 750/1250 portables with Windows 7?

I have version 6.12.00 and it is not working. I have told the PC to run that program as administrator already as well.

Thanks,

James

32 bit might work, 64 bit definitely isn't compatible. Someone on here supposedly got it to work but hever responded when I asked him how he did it...
The bandsplit is only a suggestion.

Have you tried installing it in a Win XP box? See here: http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=97717

I use Windows 7 (32 bit) and simply installed CPS 06.12.02 like any other program. It works fine for me and I never had to make any kind of system setting change or anything like that.

I never got my serial port to work, however, so I just use USB. I've been using both an aftermarket USB cable (the $20 on eBay kind) as well as the genuine Motorola OEM cable (the $200 kind) via a Radio Shack USB-to-Serial converter (item# 26-949). No problems yet. I'm sure something bad will happen someday, but I'm hoping that day is not today.

I have R06.12.02 as well. Running on Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Have not had a problem yet.

I just got a new laptop running Windows 7 Premium 64 bit. I downloaded Waris CPS 06.09.06 just fine and every thing seams to work fine while I view codeplugs. Can I get a USB to Serial adapter and read/write reliably? I have heard good and bad things on the USB to Serial adapters.
