need a cheap saber dsp upgrade

would like to upgrade my saber. its currently at 5.00.2/6.4.9
if i buy a smartrib do i need to do any alignment after the upgrade? i dont have any fance test equipment. or should i just send it to a local service shop? how much do you think they will charge

No the upgrade will not erase or change the values in the tuning partition

It would be cheaper to have a shop do it rather than buying a smart rib. The other issue at hand is whether or not the astro saber is 512k or 1 meg for the vocon. If its a 512k your pretty much stuck at where it is now.
