ENhanced MVA smoked charging circuit..Help!

My Enhanced (Convert-a-com) MVA for the Genesis series radios. has smoked the charging circuit. this is the MVA for the MT1000 99 channel hand held. anyone know how to repair this? thanks

Used and fully functional. These are the enhanced units with the two digit display and all the buttons on the front.
