Buzz Noise on Transmit MTR2000

When I connect the transmit audio lines to line 1 of the wireline board and key up the base I get a good carrier,but when I start to talk a buzz starts.I have checked all deviation levels and they are good.The actual key up of the base is from a motorola dc controller hook to the accessory connector on back of base.I have to route the transmit audio through the wireline board to have PL. Any Ideas or help would be great. Thanks

I guess I don't understand how you are keying the radio. You're using a DC remote connected to the wireline plug on the MTR, and somehow the radio keys. I don't recall a DC option for the MTR2K.

Hey Bill,

Sounds like he has an external DC term panel connected to the MTR accessory port.

OP, is your audio between the term panel and the MTR 600 ohms? If not, you shouldn't be using LINE1/LINE2 for your audio, you should be going in on the accessory connector.

Yeah. It does sound like he's using a dc remote. If he is, then he's going to get a buzz. I hope he hasn't damaged his station.
