CDM1250 Auto-On?

Post by Spiffy50 »

I've got a CDM1250 being used as a command receiver for an amateur machine. Is there a way to have the radio automatically turn on upon supplying 12V to the terminal on the back? The location I'm using it in has less than ideal AC Mains reliability and the power flickers every few days. Problem is, when this happens the radio powers down but one the AC comes back up, the radio remains off until someone goes and turns it back on.

Sure, don't recall the pin # search under ignition sense, will have the radio powered up as you describe.

What radios do you own?: XTS2.5K-Q, ASpectra, MT2K

Either jumper pin 10 to pin 13, or run +13.8V from your power supply to pin 10. That'll work!

Pin 10 on the access. connector is Ignition Sense; tie it to +12V , program the accessory connector tab in CPS for 'Follow Ignition Only' (forget the exact wording, but it's the most obvious one of the choices).
