Astro Spectra Consolette- Recording

Post by unlisted »

Any way I can easily record both rx and tx on a astro spectra consolette? Ideally stored on some type of digital media, not tape.

Hoping for a cost effective solution.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

There is a fixed RX audio out on the accessory 2 connector that can be used to recover the RX audio. I don't know any way to capture the TX audio directly from the radio. If you use this pin, don't forget to make sure you DC isolate it with a series cap of about 1.0 uf to protect the DC bias that is there.

On the other hand, if the radio is being remotely controlled by tone control, then it would be easy to get on the telco line connections and your done. Just use a 600 ohm transformer across the line for both the RX and TX lines if it is 4 wire. If they are using 2 wire, then you will only need one transformer.
