activating antenna relay with XTL5000 consolette

Post by adlertom »

I'm looking to activate an external antenna relay whenever an XTL5000 consolette is transmitting. I've perused the pinouts of rear connector 2 and connector 3 and don't see anything obvious that I can use. Can anyone advise if there's a way to do this? Thanks.

These are the pinouts for connector 2 and 3. Can anyone advise something that would work for activating an antenna relay? I assume pin 10 on connector 2 is for keying the consolette, and would not change state in response to being keyed?

The consolette has the TRC option, and I'm already using a tone remote on connector 2, if that matters.

Connector 2

1 RX+ (LINE1+)† Receive high used with TRC desksets (TX and RX high for two-wire operation;
RX high for four-wire operation)†
2 AUD_SHLD Ground: audio or analog

9 VIP OUTPUT 1 Vehicle interface output port 1
10 PTT* Push-To-Talk initiates a transmission; 5V logic
11 TX– (LINE2–)† Transmit low use with all desksets (TX low for four-wire operation)†
12 DIG_GND Ground for 5V logic signals
13 VIP INPUT 1 Vehicle interface input port 1
14 REMOTE_RX+
(SPKR_HI)†
Remote deskset speaker high output (CAUTION: grounding this pin will result
in damage to the radio) (Speaker high output)†
