Zetron Model 42 and 49 LTR Controller Help

Post by Jonathan KC8RYW »

Hey, gang.

I've been going back and forth with Zetron's various product specialists, trying to find the Multibase software for some 16 year old LTR controllers.

They've been very helpful; but it seems like they're having trouble figuring it out. They've had to do paper-searches through their old files in the basement.

Since they're a discontinued model, information seems a bit harder to find, even in house.

They think the Multibase version the controllers used was V4. Can someone confirm or deny this?

Also, they don't have older versions of Multibase.

They think the newer versions of Multibase won't work on the older M42 and M49 LTR controllers. Can someone confirm or deny this?

If anyone has any information about these controllers, please feel free to email me.

We run model 42's and 49's and run verion 6.2 Multibase (DOS).

If you think it might help, I can send you a copy.

(Just to clarify, Multibase was provided free when the Model 42's and model 49's were purchased, so providing a copy to a Zetron owner should not be an issue)

I'm trying to update some LTR equipment and was gonna try using the old Zetron Model 42 and 49 I had in the store room but can't find manuals for either one, nor the Multibase program. Can any one help with some info? I will be hooking up Kenwood TKR-900s and Johnson 8000 Repeaters.
Does any one know if they will work with my TNT controllers also?
