While trying to develop "ham" firmware for the MCS2000, I stuck on programming the custom ICs.
Does anybody have any info on these?

I think you're going to have to hook up the logic analyser or SPI probe for this!

Yes, RADSTER has the capability to talk to those IC's. Also a BusPirate may come in handy for bus/protocol snooping.

No, It'll be very interesting to explore these chips but I have very little spare time to re-invent the Moto-wheel at this time!

I've made some progress on other SLIC chips. They used the same one (they call it SLIC IV) in the Spectra E and Astro Spectra. Did you notice if the same one's in the MCS2000? (they might name it in the service manual.)

On the MCS with the regulators flush mounted the SLIC is 5108234X02 SLIC 4A. On the MCS with the regulators mounted vertical the SLIC is 5185765B30 SLIC 5.
