HSN4030 speaker

Post by N4KVE »

I picked up a HSN4030 speaker & want to clean out the dust. Most speakers have screws, but not this one. How do I take it apart to clean out the dust? GARY N4KVE

Hi Gary - i think i have read some references in the past regarding that
and other similar model speakers having a pry apart housing.

Yes it seems that way, & as I try to pry it apart, it moves a bit, but if I knew the magic points to squeeze & release the catch, it would work, but I don't want to break it by jamming in a screwdriver & hoping for the best. I'd appreciate any help. GARY N4KVE

Can anyone help here? While the speaker works fine, there's something loose inside that rattles, & the noise is driving me crazy. If i knew where to squeeze the case, the catch would release & the case would pop open. I don't want to damage it by using a screwdriver. Anyone? GARY N4KVE
