mtr 2000 audio interface

Post by patdunne »

I am trying to interface a MTR 2000 with a microwave 4 wire e and m channel. Motorola said to short pin 5 of the C row of J5 to ground. I did this and I still cannot get tx audio to go through into the modulator. If I use a tone remote control it works fine. Pat Dunne

I don't have an MTR manual in front of me. What does pin C5 do? What benefit do you get going through the expansion plug rather than just using tone control through your E&M card?

The book says pin C5 is wildcard input for tx pl on/off. You need pin C10 ext ptt. Ground C10 for tx and send tx audio into wireline connector. I have three of them doing it this way. I believe you must also program external ptt mapping to wireline in the channel information--ptt.
