HT1250 Keypad vs Non-Keypad - using same Codeplug??

Post by g8tzl2004 »

Can you write a codeplug from a Keypad HT1250 into a NON-keypad HT1250?

I have a European HT1250 which is called a GP380 - it is physically identical to a keypad HT1250 but has slightly different firmware.

I also have a European NON keypad HT1250 which is called a GP360. Again, its identical to a NON keypad HT1250.

I have created a 200 channel codeplug for the Keypad GP380 but do not want to have to retype all the channels into the NON keypad GP360. So can I use the GP380 codeplug with a GP360?

The model number for the GP380 is H25RDH9AN6 and the model number for the GP360 is H25RDF9AN5.

No, the model numbers need to be identical.
The bandsplit is only a suggestion.

yes and no. first off if you had two REAL ht1250's and the only thing different was the keypad was limited compared to full then yes you can. it's dumb, you can even require the limited keypad to have a power up password but no place to enter it. but the gp uses 5 tone and is not the same radio so no you can not copy those. Also not shure what you mean by non keypad unless you mean limited keypad? A non keypad as in no buttons at all is a ht750

The GP360 has a limited keypad ie. no number keys and looks like a limited keypad HT1250 , while the GP380 looks like a full keypad HT1250

The GP360/380 looks just like a HT1250 but has 5 tone firmware and no zones.

Does a full keypad and limited keypad HT1250 have identical model numbers?

The HT750 European equivalent is a GP340.

for real ht1250's it don't matter if it's full keypad or limited keypad, you can check the box that enables the keypad. even the limited models have the keypad, it 's just inside and you can't push the buttons. the model numbers are the same and you can clone them but if the firmware is way off some features might not work or give errors, you're best updating both radios to new firmware and you should be good to go. But like I said earlier, if you clone a full keypad radion into a limited keypad radio you may have to uncheck the box for power on password, if you don't have a keypad, you can't enter a password
