Hello One and all:
I have an XTS3000 and I would like to use my radio with the Front Panel Programming (FPP) option. Does anyone know the flash upgrade code needed to field-program the radio? The current configuration is Flash Code 500008-000000-1. In addition, the radio is 403-470 MHz but 430-512 would be more useful. Is this also possible?
Lastly, if it's just a matter of re-programming, does anyone know of any radio shops in the Chicago area who would do the re-programming?
Thanks for any help you can be.
Jim
BTW - I have an actual, licensed and registered disk of the programming and Lab software.

How about the out of band reprogramming??? Any possibilities of extending the range to say 480-485?

You can mod the CPS to tell the radio to go as high as you want but in my experience with 403-470 XTS3Ks the VCO won't lock much higher than 483.

Thanks, Joe. 483 would be as high as I'd want to go. I appreciate all your help.

Jim,
I tried that with an XTS3000 that was a 403-470..I wouldnt get much above 477 before it went deaf on everything in the 440-460.. It was an older XTS though. Are you going to try the new P25 CFD stuff up in the 476-480s?
