New TRBO portables??

Post by beemare »

I heard just recently that Moto will be releasing a new line of TRBO Portables with a full colour display. From what I have heard the new displays will be similar, if not the same as the APX portables.

Has anyone else heard this??

My apologies if there's a topic about this already.

I know I'm not supposed to do this, but I think it'll be OK once you click the link...

VERY interesting (not so much the portable)...

There already exists a thread on this board about the new generation TRBO portables, complete with color photos, and it's been discussed at length in that thread.

I see the new SL 7550 that was recently released, but did anything ever come of the XPR 7550 pictured in the above link?

I'm aware of the new SL-7550 MOTOTRBO portable. What's a XPR-7550?

I was just recently at a product show and saw several pictures of XPR-7550. I heard the UHF Band 1 should be available to order and the VHF version should be late available April early May. They did not have one to play with but have ordered the dealer demo packages. Will let you know if I hear or see anymore. APX show is next month and will update with that info as well.

What does a XPR-7550 look like? Is this a different product than the SL-7550? Here's a link to the Motorola SL-7550 website and a picture of it.

Exhibit A: Motorola MOTOTRBO XPR7550

Exhibit B: Motorola MOTOTRBO SL7550

The SL7550 has been released.

The XPR7550 has been speculation since the eBay listing popped up in December. Just recently it was verified and should release in the next month or two, per RESCUEMAN433's post.
