MIP5000 version 4.0 released

I see that MIP5000 version 4.0 has been released. Some nice new features for MOTOTRBO applications.

- Keyboard support for Text Messaging on MOTOTRBO XPR 4550 mobile radio
Allows for Text Messaging on MOTOTRBO Channels using the standard PC Keyboard or Touch Screen Monitor

- Support for ARS Functionality of the XPR 4550 Mobile radio
This will allow the dispatcher to view online/offline MOTOTRBO users.
This will also give the dispatcher the ability to send text messages or send a private call from the list of MOTOTRBO Contacts


A few other items.

- Additional Speaker Support – Allow for 4 additional speakers to be used as monitor speakers

- Internationalization – Allow for translation of the MIP 5000 GUI and user manuals to a non-English Language

- Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 (32 or 64 Bit) support

- MIP 5000 Release 4.0 introduces a new docking framework that will allow the supervisor more flexibility to how the console GUI should look. The two activities for configuring the main window layout are docking and tabbing
