HELP! Motorola Quantar No DEV.

Post by latinosusa »

Hi everyone, I need help with a Quantar station.
UHF 110 watts, Frequency TX 461.775 pl 179.9, RX 466.775 DPL 351
No error message, transmit power OK (100 watts)
RX OK 115dbm
Repeater operation OK when keyed up with a radio, the repeater work.
I can Hear the RX audio in the speaker of the station.
But..... NO TX modulation and No TX PL.
No transmit audio at all. not even when keyed up directly with the mic.

here is what i have done so far.
I unplugged the unit for more than 10 minutes. (reboot) ....didn't worked.
I pull the station control and the Module next To it , cleaned, and check for damages. No visual damages found, ....didn't worked.
I reprogrammed the unit ....didn't worked.
seems like little green monsters have stolen the DEV output. :o

I will really appreciate any help.
Thanks

Have you tried realigning the station?

Ditto. Go through the transmitter alignment procedures to see if it will put anything out. Could be the controller, or it could be the exciter. Got spare parts?

Oh, that's right. The audio routing follows the ptt priority.

Did you ever get it working? I am trying to get a UHF Quantar to TX audio using J14 pin 13 with PTT on pin 11. The base transmits but no audio. I have a VHF working fine but the UHF no audio. It does have the V24 and wireline option card the other doesn't have. I have tried changing PTT priority no help, not even sure which would be pin 13 etc. The system is running Station Control version 20.12.08.

I am looking for the best flatest audio input and output.
