Looking for information, MCC 5500

Post by N0UP »

I have recently acquired an 4 place MCC 5500 and am looking for some information on it. I have not powered anything up, or even sorted any of the boxes of stuff yet.

I know that there are 4 L3358A and L3359A boxes, a bunch of miscellaneous stuff like speakers, microphones and of course the PCs. I do not see any install disks or printed manuals, but the PCs have their software intact.

Does anyone have a source for the installation and/or service manual? I would really like to get this thing wired up and see if there is enough parts to make a working system.

Thanks
Steve

There are a number of manuals available for download on the MOL site. You will need an account with Motorola in order to access the MOL site.

That is where it gets fun. MOL has advised that the manuals are only available to the dealers. I am going to wait until the login is all finished up and try again.

I can provide some technical support over the phone if need be.

I now have an MOL login, and access to all sorts of fun stuff :)

Right now I have the whole system in boxes in my garage, it is mixed in with a Telex dispatch system of some sorts. Now that I have a copy of the install manual (from MOL), I can sort the two systems out.

Thanks for the suggestions, it really has been a help. I will take lots of pictures and document the reassembly of this setup as I have time.

Too think that this was headed to the recyclers...
