MSR2000 COR HI/LO

Post by ve1gln »

Hi all,

Just tuned up a UHF MSR2000, Everything is working great except one thing, the Transmitter stays ON until it receives a signal, then it shuts off... Then when the signal goes away, it turns on... 100% backwards..

I can't for the life of me figure out why it's doing this... Must be a jumper someplace. Anyone know where?

Thanks

I'm assuming no external controller?

My first guess would be something non-standard/hamhacked done on the Squelch Gate card. Got another one you can swap out?

Yes, I have one other, unfortunately it doesn't do squat, as in either way :)

No, no external controller.... though is this keeps up...I might do so.

It's going to be going up as a HUB repeater on a somewhat inaccessible mountain, so I wanted to keep it very simple.

Take a look at the "backwards" squelch gate card vs. the one that doesn't do anything. Make sure the jumpers on the non-working unit are set identically to the "backwards" unit. This at least gives you a benchmark starting point...
