DIU to astro spectra

Post by kc0sdu »

Can you use the rs232 on the astro spectra to connect it to a DIU or do you have to have the consolette and its workings?

Its not an RS232 connector (even though its a DB25) and no, you can't connect it to a DIU.

DIU is meant to interface a Quantar station to a dispatch console for use in mixed-mode and digital-only environments.

If you are wanting to connect an ASTRO Spectra to a dispatch console, your standard tone remote adapter or something along those lines is all that's needed.
