I just purchased a used CDM1250.
it was not turning on but it got some power when i held down the power button.
while holding down the power btn i was able to read/write the radio and after i wrote it with a codeplug from another cdm1250 it now starts half way.
now it turns on but then turns off after 2-3 seconds.
if you keep hitting any of the keys it stays on until you stop.
any idea what it could be, boot mode maybe?

Connect the radio to your power supply and then try applying +12vdc to pin #10 of the accessory connector. If the radio comes on and stays on, then the Ignition Sense Type is currently set to Follow Ignition Only.
Once the radio is on, read it with the CPS, go to Radio Configuration and select the Accessory Configuration tab. Down at the bottom of the tab you will see Ignition Sense Type. Change it to either Disabled or On/Off & Ignition. Then write to the radio and exit the CPS. Either setting should allow you to turn the radio on or off in a normal fashion.
