Our club was given a UHF Quantar Tx is 410.3625 MHz, Rx is 419.3625 MHz. How easy is it to move this up to R2 range for 440 MHz ham? We have been told to change the 'range module' but I have yet to find any reference to this module. Can someone point me to the correct module or should just the exciter & receiver be changed for this to work?

Your existing stuff is R1, not R0. I highly suggest obtaining R2 modules...

Do I need just the exciter/receiver or does the PA need to be swapped as well?

You will need range R2 exciter, R2 receiver (with correct pre-selector), and R2 final amplifier. The power supply and SCM/EPIC are not range dependent.nealg58 wrote:Do I need just the exciter/receiver or does the PA need to be swapped as well?

That's exactly correct. The R1 stuff will move up a bit past it's specified range without any modifications to the hardware or software, but I seriously doubt you're going to get what you want out of it.KI4M wrote:You will need range R2 exciter, R2 receiver (with correct pre-selector), and R2 final amplifier.
