Not by themselves they won't. Motorola makes various accessory units that will enable the use of the radio's microphone for external PA use.

I have a M sales brochure from the late 70s or early 80s for the Maxar that offers a PA option. The sales sheet photo shows it in use in a school bus with the bus driver making an announcement, and, the Maxar shown has one of its front panel switches listed as PA. I think the three push-button switches were labeled F1-F2, Mon, PA, if I remember correctly. Anyone else remember this brochure? Of course, it's not a narrowband unit, but he didn't say he wanted it for the radio side of things. - Jeff
