MTR 3000 Aux I /O Lies

Post by efc »

Well, I can see from several threads here that the Aux I O does not work with the MTR3K,namely the cln 1206a card. And after screwing around for a couple hours, found out that I cannot seem to get a COR function to key up a UHF wireless link.I saw from Escomms thread that what the book said, was not true,I can second that. Also, when i called Mother M,the technician literally told me that he did not know "what the hell he was doing" I was reaaaaally irritated.Anyone heard anythiing elase about this COR issue?

Thanks

John

It is on the MRTI connectors as PL/TalkGroup detect. But then you lose internal repeat function and will need an external controller

it's not there passively??? you enable the MRTI and you lose internal repeat? wow moto...be sure to wipe when you're done.

And the input/outputs are optically coupled and you need pull up resistors.

No, not on the MTR3000 on the MRTI.

I was referring to the options/interfacing connectors, not MARTI conn..

That's a negative, ghostrider. The pull up resistors are already installed in the station.

From the CPS help file: "There is an internal pull-up resistor that pulls the input line high if no external equipment is connected to that line. In this situation, when the Active Level of the input line is set to High, this causes the event assigned to the input line to be triggered on power up of the radio. Avoid this condition on input lines that are not connected to any external equipment by setting the Active Level to Low instead. "

Also, here's another fun "feature" of the MTR3000: Does not provide an on air notification of the station being on DC revert power.
