CDM 1550ls+ Emergency

I have been programming an CDM 1550ls+ (6an Model) and can not figure out the Emergency Button. I have it programmed under P4 Button and the radio will act like it is sending the emergency but nothing happens. I there a box in the CPS I am missing?

Where are you trying to send the emergency to? Console? Advanced remote? Third party box (Midian, Cimmaron, etc)?

" the radio will act like it is sending the emergency but nothing happens." I will take this to mean it is indeed keying up when P4 is pressed ? Keys, but no type of modulation ?

Make sure you have some type of TX signalling enabled like MDC .
Enable MDC signalling , give it a MDC unit number and try it.

I think for Emergency to work properly on the CDM's, MDC on Rx has to be enabled as well so that the host console can transmit an ack code back to the mobile. I am sure it is needed for other mobiles or portables in the same system to receive the Emergency signal.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I am sending it to a MIP 5000 Console. I have it programmed and working on the HT-1250ls but not the CDM
