GCP8000 Site Controller

Post by Brand »

Does anyone know if the GCP8000 Controller is a standalone piece of equipment or is it intergrated in the GTR8000 repeater/Base in the form of a module or hardware .

Appreciate any feed back ..thanks

It can be done either way. In most GTR 8000 ESS (Expandable Site Subsystem), it's a card within one of the GTR 8000 stations. If the system is non-ESS, it's generally in it's own GTR-style housing, and there are generally two - a main and a standby.

Most of the time the way I see it is that the remote site GCP 8000 is in the ESS with the radios. At the prime site, it's in its own housing.
