Quantar "Dry Contact" Output in Station Fail

Post by w4mic »

Can anyone direct me to information about setting up a relay for "Dry Contact" output when a Quantar goes into Station Fail?
I need to send a "Failed" indication from the Quantar to a site monitoring device that can take either NO or NC inputs.
That device will then send out an email indicating that we have a repeater problem...

I'm assuming I will have to program the basic wildcard outputs for one of the Aux Output Relay's, but it's been a WHILE since I've done that. *smile*

Any input will be appreciated.

You can get alarm closures out of the 25pr connector, and yes - you will have to set up the wildcard. I don't have a codeplug in front of me to look through the setup. I prefer to use NC so that the alarm is tripped if the station loses power.

The alarm outputs are only available if the station is configured for enhanced wildcard.
