XPR 6550 TPT Too Quiet

Post by KD7FLY »

The talk permit tone on my XP 6550 is ultra quiet - almost to the point of not being able to hear it in loud environments.
It has 1.11.02 F/W and I have programmed it with 8.6.

Is there anything within the CPS that could increase the volume of the TPT? I tried adjusting the tone offset within the CPS but all that affects are the key tones.

Thanks!

I can check when I return to work, but I know the TPT on my 6550 follows the volume knob position so there must be some setting/check box somewhere in there! Have you tried the help files?

Mine does that as well, but it stops at about 30 percent and remains there even when the radio's volume is up to 100 percent.

I searched through the settings thoroughly and was unable to find anything concrete...
