What radios do you own?: pretty much everything

900mhz maxtrac codeplug error

Post by nb1h »

I am trying to read my 900MHz maxtrac but am getting "error 21: Radio is not supported by this software. Consult manual for list of error codes and possible solutions"

I have programmed this radio before with another laptop (which I unfortunately do not have anymore). I know that I have the correct version of software because the model number of my radio is contained in the maxtracs.mdf file. I am using maxtracs.exe "RSS for the maxtrac trunked radio"

My best guess at this point is that there is some corruption in the radio's codeplug. Does anyone have another D27MQA5GB2_K codeplug I can try? This is a two-channel 900MHz trunked maxtrac.

There is a possibility that the original laptop had a hacked version of the software to account for different frequency band edges. Maybe you need to look further before you hang and shoot the codeplug.

I should add that I am using this radio on a 900MHz trunked system using real motorola RSS. No hacking or out-of band use here.
