MTS 2000, missing part?

Post by ffemt1764 »

Hello everyone. I have a VHF MTS 2000 model 3 that is missing a piece...the switch that tells the radio to disconnect the main antenna and use to antenna on the PS microphone. Is this a common thing for /\/\ to do? Can I have this switch added short of sending the radio to the dreaded depot...if they would even touch it anymore? Or can one of you fine folks here assist me with this issue? Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Some other radios in the Jedi line did not come with that relay. I had some MTX8000's that didn't come with that relay. While all MTS radios should have that relay, it's possible a previous owner of that radio swapped in a RF board from another radio. Does the radio model # verify it's a MTS2000? GARY

The model number does on the case, no stickers on the RF board itself. IS this something that can be added? I'm pretty good with surface mount soldering, just need the part and such...
