Faulty Epic III SCN fails Rxer

Post by p1350m »

Hi all. I have acquired a Quantar Epic III SCM CLN1614B, supposedly pulled from a working environment. On testing in my serviceable quantar station, the SCM fails the known good receiver. When checking the metering screen in the CPS, the SCM finds that all receiver 1 voltage values are zero.

I know for sure that the Epic III SCM is at fault. When other SCM's are used in the station, the repeater works fine. I have upgraded the SCM to the last FW version 20.14.48. No change in the symptoms. The red RX LED flashes indicating a problem.

Does anyone have any good ideas or experience with these SCM's in order to make it serviceable again? Any schematics/wiring diagrams would be appreciated. If anyone repairs these cards give me a PM.

Cheers.
