VRS 2017B YLE1009B

I picked up two VRS units that are Motorola P2017B/YLE1009B. They have UHF radios inside. How are they programmed? By the CPS software and MPL, or separate software?

Those are VRS-EPs. They are programmed utilizing a screwdriver to open the case, and new crystals.

Yes, but how about setup of the Astro? I don't have a section in the manual.

Is there a PDF for installation? I have the control cable with a DB25 on the opposite end. I assume it plugs into the DB25 underneath the handle? I have been unable to locate a PDF explaining this. I have two units and may be willing to sell one. But I need mine setup first. I am often the 1st first responder to arrive in the mountain communiti4es that we serve. My 50 watt mobile wasn't enough in many areas so I bought a 110 watt Spectra and our repeater is centrally located. But when I get out to triage and treat if rescue doesn't arrive quickly I need a HT that can hit the repeater(s).
