CDM One Touch Zone Change, how ?
Rather than 3 pushes Zone, Up or Down and Zone again I have some of my CDM's set up with one touch zone change (just pressing Zone once changes to the next zone). By recall I believe this was a programming option but I'm setting up a couple and after going thru all the menu's I can't find this. While mobile I like the One touch vs. a 3 button sequence. Anyone recall where this option might be hiding ?

Re: CDM One Touch Zone Change, how ?
Appreciate the reply. Not looking for Zone revert, was looking for one touch zone change, I recall setting up my CDM1550's like that a couple years ago but can't find it again. With the CDM1550 usually you had to hit that Zone button once than on the 2nd touch would actually start the Zone scrolling. On my CDM1250 it's currently configured where one must hit Zone, then the Up or Down button to the desired Zone and then Zone again (kinda a PIA when mobile). Not finding that single touch on either the 1250 or 1550 but 2 of my 1550's had been set up that way previously.

Erm, the left and right arrow buttons should be taking you from zone to zone and looking at some codeplugs I don't see any way of changing that by way of CPS
Re: CDM One Touch Zone Change, how ?
I am not seeing any way to do that in the CPS on a CDM1250. On a CDM1550 it seems to be hard coded into the left and right arrow buttons, but those do not exist on a CDM1250.

Thanks for the input guys, I'll get used to the multiple presses. When I found this option I was using an older version CPS on a CDM1550LS+ and apparently the feature didn't get carried forward.

I just looked in the operators manual and the CPS. The left and right buttons are defined as Zone Selector/Editing buttons. There is no provision in the CPS to change the function of the left and right arrow buttons. Since they are unique to the 1550's, that should pretty much solve the mystery.RadioSouth wrote:Thanks for the input guys, I'll get used to the multiple presses. Re: CDM One Touch Zone Change, how ?
Thanks for taking a look Steve. It was a few years back and not the newest CPS. I came accross and option somewhere that called for Single Touch Zone Change, like you mention the R and L arrow buttons have a non changeable function, it wasn't in the button definition menu, I kinda stumbled on it somewhere and of course can't find it while I'm actually looking for it, but CPS versions are different. I was running a few CDM150LS+ and prior to finding this function the Zone change arrow had to be hit twice to get the initial zone change, it was kinda like the 1st press was enabling the function and subsequent presses would allow you to scroll thru the zones. After enabling the One Touch Zone Change just one press would bring you to the next zone. With the 1550 it wasn't a big deal because all presses were on that same arrow button but the one touch was slightly more convenient. With the 1250 I have in the car it's a nuisance as in my case for a zone change I'm hitting F4 then scroll via the up/dn arrows then F4 again, when I'm in traffic I usually wait until I'm stopped a couple seconds before looking away that long. Perhaps that single touch zone feature was phased out somehere in the series of revisions, thanks to all that took a look.
