David Simpson, W6OPS, SK

Post by batdude »

To all of you who met david over the years (he was the infamous "MR. COOK" at dayton circa 2005ish) - i was notified yesterday by his son that David passed on 11/19/2014.

David was retired from Motorola UK some years back and was a great guy to be around. I will miss his stories and chats.

regards,

doug

I was there at the 2005 Bat dinner, such a cool and crazy night. all the talk and stories, the vehicle equipment/radio/Cellphone ringtone comparisons, the Ham sexy "ham guard" deodorant stickers put on everything from the salt and pepper shakers, to the bathroom hand drier.

at the 2005 dinner.....was David wearing a tropical pattern shirt sitting at the south end of the long group table facing the length of the table?

RIP

in honor of Mr Cook, there should be a focused effort to put together a dinner again on miller lane at dayton 2015
