Astro Saber Question

Post by 35-K9-1 »

I am programming an Astro Saber and am running into kind of a weird issue. Certain menu items come up with a different abbreviation when I power on the radio. Specifically, the ZONE button now says SYS, and the CHAN button now says SUB. Is there any way to change these back? I've been through every menu tab multiple times in CPS. Thanks.

Don't have a direct answer but those are trunking icons not conventional.

This radio is flashed for trunking. However, I have all conventional channels programmed. I can learn to live with it, but I was just curious.

There is a checkbox in the CPS called "DISPLAY SYS/SUB" that is checked. You need to uncheck the box.

In the CPS, it is located under Radio Configuration > Display & Menu > Advanced > "Display Sys/Sub".

Just uncheck the box and it'll return to ZONE/CHAN operation.
