XTS3000 Wont Transmit

Post by 35-K9-1 »

Hello All. I am having a problem with one of my XTS3000's. The radio receives fine, however I cannot transmit on any channel, in any zone. None of my channels are recieve only but I get that tone when I try to transmit. Also, I do not have any switch set to Tx Inhibit. All of my channels are conventional, however the radio itself is flashed for trunking. If anybody could help with this, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Can I suggest that you provide some more details.

Did the radio ever transmit?

Did you program the channels recently?

Does the red TX light come on when you press the PTT switch?

Is there a tone coming from the radio when you press the PTT switch?

What band and frequencies your trying to transmit on?

It might help if you provide the model number of the radio.

I found the problem and have corrected it. The Tx Inhibit was on radio-wide. After adding it to the menu list, and turning it off, the radio functions perfectly. Thank you.
