APX COTS Bluetooth Pairing

Post by dxon2m »

Hi all,
I have a APX7000 M3.5 with bluetooth board and feature flashed (checked using the five button press trick during start up, and I can see the board info, MAC address..etc).

I get an error "visibility fail" almost immediately when I try to perform a bluetooth discovery. Any idea what this issue might be?

In CPS, make sure you have the BT mode set to PAN/COTS as well as Motoroola proprietary. It needs to be in mixed mode or PAN/COTS mode for it to work. You might still be in the legacy proprietary mode. I don't have the exact nomenclature available...at work right now with no CPS and valid codeplug to look at . Oh...also, make sure you're firmware 11 or later.

Yep mine has R13.05.00 firmware and I have set to mixed mode.

When I try to set visibility to on, I get a message BT Search Failed immediately and it stays Visibility off.

When I try to turn on Search Devices, I get a message Clear All BT devices failed

Thanks
