System Saber1 Problems

Post by aamster »

Any ideas? I have a Systems Saber1 H44TUN5170CN H99QX102H.
I can program the 16 Channels Conv. Receive and Transmit. What I can not get to work is the "Autoscan" of the 16 channels receive, that I have programmed into the radio. You are supposed to be able to use one of the two buttons on the side of the radio to turn the Scan ON/OFF, while it shows that it took the choice, neither button does anything other than give the blank beep! I have the scan enabled, the scan list is proper, the trunking is off, and secure is off.

Thanks

You have to assign one of the channels as the 'scan' channel. So when you turn to that channel the radio scans. When you turn off of that channel the radio stops scanning.

on a syssaber I you can only program the radio to scan when slaved to a mode ...

that means you can only attach the scan list to a channel to scan . and you cant turn it off or on ... pain in the butt.....

Just for the record, a SSaber III has a dedicated front button for turning user scan on and off (keypad 2), but it is not programmable.
