Opinion on the stability and legitimacy of this AS III
"Some men just don't know their limitations"
Looks like one of the watchbuddy radios when he was doing Astro Sabers. As a side note, I have a VHF AS3 that has similar flashcode, but without the smartzone and modat in it, and it functions very well. In fact, after some flashcode/codeplug problems, my radio came back from the depot with the orginal flashcode and a new sticker.
I don't think you would have a problem with this radio unless someone did some tinkering to it.

Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

THat's what I thought. This radio has new DSP and firmware. I don't think its a watchbuddy flashcdoe for the simple reason the seller states it has a model/serial tag on it that matches the radio. Also doesn't have the incompatible issue of software encryption.
Just trying to decide if I want to bid on this yet.

Astro Saber
All you need do is ask the source. It is a "WatchBuddy" radio and us such, has no tags on it. It works just fine and I am selling it because I have obtained a similar XTS3000, of which I already had 2 of, so it's just easier with one common charger and other acessories. I have had the radio about 2 months and have used it to transmit and receive, with no problem on analog and digital.

ok thanks, didn't realize you were a member here. WIth so much of the questions flying around concerning the watch buddy radios I figured its worth getting the board opinion.
At this point I'm trying to decide if its time to upgrade now or wait for Dayton.
Been also seeing several radios listed by this individual. Same questions, any good? Its VHF so it has a fairly simple flashcode, just IMBE and MDC OTAR.
