I'm trying to get the power cable to the MTVA cradle, believe it's the 6 pin(2 rows of 3) connection. The pin out is listed on this site, but I wanted to purchase the actual cable. Anybody Help?

This on a UHF amp MTVA, maybe I don't need the cable, does the cradle get its power from the controler/amp?

Thanks

I believe the 6-pin connector you're talking about is actually the amplified external speaker connector. The cradle does get it's power from either the power amp, if it's an RF amplified unit, or the junction box, if it's a handsfree w/antenna only unit.

Ok, That helps. But, It doesn't seem like the serial cable would be able to handle the power needs of the cradle since it has to charge the portable's battery and give it enough juice to operate...guess I'll just have to hook it up and see what happens.

Actually, aside from charging the battery, the cradle doesn't do much, power-wise. The radio still takes it's power from the battery, not the cradle. The radio also uses it's own speaker for rx audio, unless the amplified speaker is used.

So, let me get this straight...
Serial cable from cradle to controller, a ant. cable from cradle to controller, a power cable to the controller, another power cable to the amp. side of the controller and ant. cable out of the amp to the exterior ant.
Sorry about this, didn't get an instructions with this stuff...and I don't want to fry anything!

Sounds like you have it under control. There should also be a yellow wire on the cradle to controller/amp cable (what you've been calling the serial cable). This wire goes to ignition sense, to turn the cradle charger on & off with the key.
