I recently Programmed a Motorola Syntor x9000 VHF Radio
the radio is a 150-174 Bandspread. I programmed in two amateur radio freqs just to check operation.
I entered 146.520
and 146.400
Everything went OK during programming except after if programmed it it went to verify the programming. It went about 80% of the way through,and then it gave me a serial bus error, and it said improper protocol, and now when I go to transmit I get no TX audio, however the Receiver works fine, and I do get PL Deviation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first question would be: Did you unplug the RIB before trying to TX?
The RIB pulls the Mic High line to ground when it is connected to keep in from interfering with the programming data. If you try to TX with the RIB connected, it would produce exactly the symptoms that you described.
Unfortunately, I don't have an easy answer on the verify error. What are you using as a programming setup? The X9000s are infamously picky about computer speed (I had to buy a "new" old computer to program mine.)

The line is pulled to ground by a jumper in the RIB. It does not matter whether the RIB is on or off, or whether or not it is connected to the computer. As long as it is attached to the radio, it will mute the mic high line to ground.

Before helping Justin Korpal N9ZDA you might want to view his EBay feedback, user ID is his call sign. After getting stiffed by this clown I got E-mailed by several other folks that he stiffed and his M.O. was excuse after excuse up to the point of the deadline of leaving negative feedback then he vaporizes. His feedback is atrocious as is and would be even worse if not for this type of trickery. Not the kind of person we need here.

That was exactly the problem. I left the RIB attached and tried to transmit through the Programming cable. I removed the cable, and all was well. The only problem I now have is when I program amateur frequencies into the X9000 it gives me a serial bus error/protocol error on verify.
