Howdy, what portables have MDC-600 signalling format in them? And while I'm at it, what mobiles besides the spectra. Any mobiles decode & display it? Maybe Astro Spectra? Thanks & Happy Holidays to all

- What radios do you own?: XTS3000/astro spectra/
i had an MT1000 with MDC front some time ago, it was capable of both MDC 600 and 1200
MDC 600 was also an add on board for MT500 radios, and it would not suprise me if the MX series portable from the late 70's and early 80's was capable of MDC 600 also.
i would also be interested in knowing what other units had mdc 600...

The MX300 series of portables was indeed capable of MDC-600 Stat-Alert with or without man down button. You can tell if the radio was equipped by looking at the factory tag on the back of the radio. Next to the PL, you will see ID: If the radio had MDC-600 installed you will see a 4 digit number next to the ID: MDC-600 was also available for MT500, Mitrek and Syntor mobiles.
MDC-600 was also supported in the Analog Saber series, and the Analog Spectra.
