Hopeing some one can help. When PTT button pushed yellow light comes on and no Xmit. By repressing PTT it starts to work and will continue to Xmit as long as you only wait a few second between Transmissions. Receive seems normal.

Gary,
Check the setting for Forced Monitor, it puts the radio into carrier squelch on the first press on the PTT and makes you rekey the radio to get it to transmit.
If not maybe the battery is weak causing the transmitter to shut down, but will usally beep at you when you unkey.

Go into the RSS mode and disable forced monitor and tx inhibit on busy.
