Hi:

Well, I hate to be the Bad Guy, but
I have seen that all to often. What
has happen is you have corrupted the
Pirmary Code Plug.

I can restore them at less than 1/2 of what
Motorola charges if you desire. I have many
persons with Sabers as a reference if you
need them

Also, you need a Stable 386-486-25 Computer
Platfom ( running real DOS ) along with a Good Rib Box ( Motorola Prefered ) and a good program Cable.

Its also advised to have a Fresh Battery, Power Supply for the Rib, and a UPS for the
Computer....

With the above set up, corrupted code plugs
dissapear forever !

You could try to build a fresh codeplug using the correct model # and options and try to dump it in a few times I was able to recover one that way

might be worth a try

Hi:

Sorry to report, when you have a " Flashing"
Display, that is pretty much the End.
( period )

Unortunitely it requires a Special Jig ( I have made one ) to alow access to the PC board while under tests.

To complex to describe, and I will not want
to take the responsibility of try to give
the proceedures out, and have a person make
their radio even worse.

The problem is you may ( highly ) probable
you have damaged the CORE...Once that happens
the radio will no longer Read or Write, and
the Display Will Flash.

It truly does take a test fixture to fix.

Its the Internal CORE must be re-established.

I have had the same problem from time to time , make sure you have a fresh battery in the rib, then create a new code plug with the proper model numberfrom the create codeplug function in the rss, now load it in.
You will have to go into the service menu to re-align the radio, as all your current settings are most certainly gone now.
