What radios do you own?: X9000 thru APX

I have seen a few codeplugs, mostly LAPD style, but not all, that allows for a maximum 254 modes. According to all the lit that I have, and my own programming, everything says 255. What would be in the codeplug that would reduce it to 254? Not like one channel really makes a difference, but it would be nice to know

Actually, 254 IS the max available.

If I remember correctly, the basic capacity of the radio is 255 channels, but every zone in the radio reduces the channel capacity by one channel. Since you HAVE to have at least ONE zone, the capacity is 254 channels plus one for the zone.

Try deleting two channels and then adding three zones, and see what happens.

I'm pretty sure that's how it runs.
