Thanks Crimestopper, I have been waiting for a revised PSM for the waris series for the past two years when I was given a release date by /\/\ of July 2003.

Okay, this should probably be a new thread, but I am going to mention it here anyway. I noticed a new part number for waris PSMs, RMN5035A. I think this is what crimestopper is talking about. The Motorola site doesn't have any pictures or details though.

Any pictures of the new mics? I have been waiting every bit of two years for /\/\ to release the new PSMs for the waris line. How do they adapt the RF into the mic on the new version? Obviously with an adapter, but what does it look like?
Here ya go:

The units have individual call and group call.
1 watt is the xmit spec
They are models DTR-550 and DTR-650.
They actually work pretty well too. Range is decent on them for 1W and they actually message each other well with the iDEN features. I have yet to try the group features as I've only got 2x to play with.

RSS is being developed for the DTR radios. They are complex to program but easy to clone via cable or DTR650 " manager" PTT.Neat little radios they are.1 to 1 or 1 to many with private groups similar to trunked systems is a neat feature.Have found that basic users just want to talk radio to many radio and not mess too much with the 1 to 1 or alert features. The customized SMS feature is fun to play with.It send a pre set text msg to another unit via data burst.
I even heard that a 900 FHSS DTR repeater may be in the works for these units. No FCC license is attractive too.

All links and images in this thread having to do with the RMN5055A Waris PSM have gone dead. Ditto for Google results. Motorola has a page up for the specific part but currently with no photo:
