any XTS handheld FREQ RANGE MODEL DECODER available?

Is there any accurate FREQ RANGE XTS (3000 2500 5000) model decoder available?

The one on batlabs seems to be a general for "ASTRO Mobile/Portables" and isnt always correct with the handhelds.

For instance a K split radio on the astro spectra is 146-174 but a K split on a XTS3000 is 136-174...

the model decoder lists K as 146-174.
http://www.batlabs.com/astromob.html#model

this is also similar in the UHF ranges, and it gets a bit confusing at times to decode XTS handhelds.
The general guide for radios built after 1992 is the same

am I using the right decoder?
is there a better one available for XTS handhelds

There probably is, but for most of us, we just remember it or go to the service manual.

J - 136-162 (Astro Spectra)
K - 146-174 (Astro Spectra), 136-174 (all ASTRO25 products + XTS3000/Astro Saber)
Q - 403-433 (Astro Spectra), 380-470 (ASTRO25)
R - 438-470 OR 450-482 (Astro Spectra), 403-470 (Astro Saber, XTS3000)
S - 482-512 (Astro Spectra), 450-512 (Astro Saber, XTS3000, ASTRO25)
U - 800 (Astro Spectra), 700/800 (ASTRO25)
W - 900

That's a quick brain dump - someone else can verify.

(Edit: moved UHF handhelds to proper R code)

The S Split ASTRO25 radios go up to 520Mhz, everything else looks good.

thanks for the replys, that helps a lot

wonder why they havent changed the model decoder on batlabs...

it creates a lot of confusion when looking at a radios model # under ASTRO mobile/portables and your getting the information for base units only (K split = 146-174 etc)
meanwhile the handhelds are 136-174mhz.

thanks again
