Buy genuine one from escomm. He has reasonable prices. But be sure that it's from the end of 2011 or beginning 2012. It will work for 3 years. It's the best option, IMHO.

Any brand other than Motorola or Multiplier is, IMHO, a crapshoot, and I've got a box of short-lived Saber batteries that won't hold a charge to back up my statement.

Only experience many of us have had with CutRate is their LiIon 1900 mAh short Saber battery which of course will not charge on an older charger. You need a tri-chem charger to charge it. I and others love it because it's short and lasts a long time in use, plus it doesn't lose much if any power while sitting on the shelf. But, again, it's not a NiMH.

If you don't mind batteries that wobble on the radio because they don't fit properly they're probably OK.

Thanks

John,

I just checked two of the CR LiIon shorties I have on Astro Sabers and yes, they do "rock" back and forth a bit,
but they maintain contact all the time just the same. I also have one on a short standard Saber but it's out in the
car and it's too cold out right now to go out and get it. Technically Jeff is correct, but they're still good batteries.

Regards,
